Join us Saturday, October 16, 2021 for Orca Recovery Day!
Plant 3 trees/shrubs and get 1 free to take home
Join us along the Foothills Trail Enumclaw Foothills Trail at the corner of SR410 and SE 456th Street between 9 am and 12 noon to plant native trees and shrubs.
Why? To save the Southern Resident killer whales main food source and their food source (Chinook salmon) by planting native trees and shrubs to build a better habitat and shade the water while filtering toxins.
Please arrive dressed for the weather. Sturdy boots, gloves, and a shovel will be needed. (We will have a few extras)
Hydration is important as well. Please bring your own water to drink.
We will be teaching the most up to date planting methods while improving habitat in our community.
After you help us with a few plants you can select a native Nootka rose or snowberry plant to take home with you.
